Non-Contact Tool Setting System for CNC Machining Centres and Milling Machines

Tool setting with stand alone Mida Laser 75 on machining centerThe Mida Laser systems use a laser diode and a high precision photodiode to perform static or moving controls and tool measurements. The signals generated by the system when the tool under test breaks the laser beam are used by the machine CNC to perform the required measurements.

Mida Laser systems are available in focused or collimated versions. The focused version is essential for checking the cutting profile and measuring the length of tools with spherical heads, engravers or diameters less than 1 mm.

Modular Mida Laser 75 Mida Laser systems are available in two models:

* Mida Laser 75

* Mida Laser 105

The compact Mida Laser 75, for use with smaller machines, is available in three versions:

* Bracket with emitter and receiver in a single structure, available in different lengths

* Pico Laser, the ultra compact bracket mounted version for smaller machines

* Modular with the emitter and receiver separated by a distance of up to 1 m in the case of the focused version, and up to 3m in the case of the collimated version

Mida Laser 105, modular with emitter and receiver separated, for large machines and distances up to 12 m.

Interface Unit for High Frequency and Hard-Wired Connection

Tuesday, October 10th, 2006

Mida High Frequency transmission is a wireless signal Transmission system for workpiece inspection suitable both for Lathes and machining Centres.
The High-frequency (HF) transmission system transmits the signals from the probe to the interface unit through an air gap, then to the CNC of the machine tool.

Touch Probes for Tool Check

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

A90 family probes is the low cost solution for tool breakage detection and inspection, when there is no need to measure the tool with very high accuracy.

There are basically three models of A90 probes to meet the different applicationneeds continue on reading about Touch Probes for Tool Check
